It all started early 2000. Began helping a tractor pull team, let's say that differently... I wondered around the shop till they trusted me enough to help out. One day, Arnie, had me drain the oil from the tractor, and place it in a turkey fryer. Stating that this is done after every 3rd pass. I was puzzled. He had me place a thermometer in and light it. Then instructed me to stand there and let him know when it boiled. Once bubbles started, Arnie came over, explained what was happening. We were actually boiling the alcohol from the oil. I watched as the once chocolate milk looking oil slowly turned back to its original color. Once the "boiling" slowed we turned it off. After it cooled, Arnie had me put it back into the tractor. I told him there's no way I would ever trust that oil again. What is this? AMSOIL he replied.
